Many people ask me what was the “toughest” time in my career as a CEO.
I have many, many executive friends nationally. I can say that most, if not all of them, join me in saying that the toughest times in life are not always career related. For some reason, dealing with all of the significant issues a CEO has to deal with is easier than some things in our personal lives. For me, the absolute TOUGHEST scenario I’ve had to go through is the death of my older brother – Scott Lambrecht. Here we are a couple years later, and it feels like it was yesterday. I don’t think I’ll ever understand why it happened, and it’ll be hard to move past it.
Even though this is “personal,” I feel it necessary to share as I loved him dearly! 🙂
