Tim Lambrecht – Personal situations are more stressful than being a CEO

It’s interesting how many people say to me “wow, you’ve been through a lot of stressful legal things in your life.”  Yes, it is true.  I’ve tried to fight against a 60 Billion company for an entire industry – alone.  I’ve tried to fight against a 4 Billion company to protect their other clients.  I’ve served on the board of the BBB to help thousands of individuals (elderly/military).  I even fought the law and the law won!

There is NOTHING more stressful and depressing than losing a brother.  Within one year, I lost two great friends that were federal attorneys (Alfred Stanbury and Roger Magnuson), and my older brother.  It was definitely a kick in the gut so-to-speak.

When I lost my older brother, I can tell you that all of my other issues in life became insignificant.  Everything that happens to us as CEO’s can be fixed.  Losing a brother, can’t be.  Keep things in perspective as you see your loved ones…………………….give a HUGE hug and let’m know how much you love them!!!!!

Tim Lambrecht on Giving Back

I am proud to state that the technology company I started in 1996, InCompass IT, was a community giving machine!!!!!

As far as I know, we were the only IT firm in the nation that provided a FREE Grant writer to all of our customers through our GIFT program (Grant Information Funding Team).  The crazy thing is that our grant writer, who was AMAZING, was working on grants for nonprofits that had no possibility of becoming an InCompass IT client!!!!!!!!!!!!!    You see, once a company exists to help others, versus “making money, the company goes above and beyond to help the community.  It’s an awesome experience, and I’m thankful for the InCompass IT team that made it possible!

Tim Lambrecht – Justice can be achieved against mammoth companies

My friends and colleagues that know what I’ve been through the last 20 years, as a CEO, know that I see everything in a positive light.

The frank truth is that companies and people will always take advantage of the weak, however, we Americans don’t give up on the little guy easily.  You see it in a restaurant, in the streets, and even in business.  We were made to protect each other – due or die.  Sometimes the payment/risk for protecting others is significant, and the reward………….well………..is sometimes lower than nothing.  But, it doesn’t matter.  If we stand up for what is right, no matter the cost, we will have know in our hearts and minds that we did the right thing.  🙂

Yes, I’ve had my fair share of legal battles………….and then some.  There area  few things I’d like to change in the past, but I can’t.  Either way, David never apologized to Goliath.  If you’ve been in a situation like that, nor should you!  🙂

Tim Lambrecht sues Dell for fraud to protect other IT firms

Minnesota is business friendly but watch for fraud

As the CEO of a tech company based in Minnesota since 1996, I can’t count the many number of times that I had to deal with negative/unethical people.  From candidates lying on their resumes, to employees stealing equipment all the way through vendors stealing clients………I’ve seen it all.  It is unfortunate, however; from my travels across the country, I’ve seen it in every State.  While on the board for the Better Business Bureau, I learned that most people can be trusted.  However, it seems that our society has slipped a few notches on the integrity scale the last 10 years.  A lack of integrity has been around for generations, but it does seem to be getting worse in the business world.  My advice.  Trust, but verify.  🙂

Tim Lambrecht sues XO Communications for system-wide outages

Court isn’t a good place to learn “contract law.”  Before your company gets taken advantage of, it’d be good to study up on the term “jurisdiction.”  Be careful to not sign a contract, in the state you are doing business in, that has an “out of state” jurisdictional clause.
